The Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery is the cultural and creative heartbeat of the city and is dedicated to showcasing the area's arts, heritage and history. Amongst its treasures, the facility is known for its Australian colonial art, exhibits of Tasmania's natural history, a Chinese Temple from the 1880s, planetarium and an interactive science centre.
