White House, built in the 1840s, is only a short drive west of Launceston on HWY 1 in Westbury. See an historical array of furniture, paintings, and china. The grounds also include stables and a working bakery where visitors may enjoy fresh baked goods and tea.
Central Launceston is the home to this only genuine period shop in Tasmania. Built in the 1860s, this shop displays umbrellas used in the last 100 years. Now owned by the National Trust of Australia, visitors can also shop for souvenirs.
